Guitars

Hofner Guitars

Hofner has made fine, stringed instruments since 1887, and most notebly the iconic 500/1 violin or “Beatle” bass, popularized by, Paul McCartney. I happen to own a few myself. Hofner.com

Rickenbacker Guitars

Prized by players worldwide, at one point the company could boast that all three guitar-playing Beatles used their instruments. John with his 325, George with his 360 12 string, and Paul with his 4001/s bass. Rickenbacker has contributed mightily to the Beatles recorded and live sound. Rickenbacker.com

Fender Guitars

Since the early 1950’s Fender has been producing iconic six string and bass guitars that have been the gold standard for electric players. Their amplifiers are held in equal regard. The Telecaster, Stratocaster guitars, Jazz and Precision Basses, Dual Showman, Bassman, Super and Twin Reverb amps have all etched their place in Rock history. Fender.com

Amps

Vox Amps

Vox amps have loomed large in the Beatles legend. Paul, George and John all used various models on stage and in the studio. Although Vox no longer makes a bass amp (T-60, T-100), the AC 30 remains a staple of guitarists throughout the world.VoxAmps.com

Strings

Pyramid Strings

These flat wound, pure nickel strings have been standard equipment on all Hofner basses since 1956. With a little care these strings will last a decade or longer. Many players (including myself) believe they sound better with age. PyramidStrings.com
